The City of Boulder Department of Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP) and the Boulder Public Library are organizing a public exhibition called "Art Inspired by the Land," taking place throughout Boulder's Main Library, from August 5th through September 11th, 2017. The exhibition is free.
For nearly a decade, the City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks Department Art Program (OSMP and the Arts) has served to connect people to the amazing lands and wildlife surrounding Boulder through the talents of local artists. By coming together to celebrate the beauty of the natural world through various art-focused hikes and programs, the OSMP and the Arts Program allows Boulder citizens to participate in an ancient, but still relevant, way of experiencing and connecting to land.
Guest artists working in various mediums offer workshops on the trails surrounding Boulder and occasionally offer presentations about their work. The workshops are designed for adults of any artistic skill level…beginners are very welcome! In addition to the public programs, we also have a bi-annual community art show welcoming the work of any community member who wishes to share a creative expression of their relationship with OSMP lands and wildlife.
